"First impressions of the Twingo 133: it looks very much like the 'new age' Renaults and is in keeping with the new Clio in terms of looks - just a bit smaller! In terms of driving it, the Twingo nimbler than its bigger brother. I think the car is perfect for someone’s first hot hatch, or possibly a runaround second car with a bit of French fun thrown in.

"On first glance the car looks more aggressive than the regular Twingo, with wider arches, chrome exhaust trim, panoramic roof, 17" wheels and figure-hugging seats. The interior is quite 'plasticky', with a centrally mounted instrument binnacle which could be quite distracting, but is very clear and easy to use. Overall, first impressions were good.

"I think the car met and exceeded my expectations in almost every field - It has bags and bags of grip when cornering quickly and lets you know well in advance when it is going to let go. It isn't a rocket off the line, but it isn't designed to be - so comparing it to the likes of a Focus ST or Astra VXR wouldn't be fair - but it’s not a million miles off the pace of the 'regular' hot hatches of this world.

"I would recommend the Twingo 133 to anyone new to the hot hatch market who wants a car which is loads of fun, economical and with a reasonable price tag.
