.....or did you mean something else?

Great quote from "Paganini"

"Don't give up your day job Funky, espionage is definitely not your forte".

There's plenty more where that came from....

I am sorry that the cats got pushed away from C+ because I genuinely enjoyed and respected their opinions. I can relate to them because the abuse has been flying at me on here so I know exactly how they felt on C+.

I know they did not really say anything really outrageous - und our current guy on there appears to have some respect anyway Und hope have not let cat out of bag He ist maintaining some order at least....Steviebabes will recognise him as bit of a tiger

.. und of course Krissi was injured at Xmas which was why she was on there all the time. She strained a muscle chasing after the afore-mentioned cyclist in "lioness in kill" mode. Did not help when she then mentioned to one guy in acidest retort that her posts were raising money for charity either. We did honour the bet .. by the way ... the loony lioness clocked up more posts than Strassen within a three days. It nearly bankrupted us. She ist currently purring away on a foreign site... und the Germans like her....but then ist "naughty drivers" forum

Just to add, I do not cycle on dual carriageways no, just on single ones. Its amazing what speeds you get passed at on a single one, let alone a dual one!!

Am glad to hear this.... but when you are on bike ... perceptive seems to be that car ist faster than reality. Ist the turbulence... even at 25 mph on some exposed roads .. I think. Maybe feel it more because in rural area und at altitude sometimes. Und when on downhill...

Am not seasoned cyclist like MM, NTC, FF, IG und rest of gang -but do enough to keep safe und fit. Prefer my nice gym und my nice warm car...

Like this.

Funkyrobots Cycling Plus signature:

"People who throw rocks at cars are crappy, throw them off a cliff!"

Ist a long story .. ist another thing which wound up my sister.

At Xmas ... C+ attacked Paulie's good name.... und my big sister decided to take on the two twazaks concerned. Und she signed ups as "Nice Tame Cat" (Her husband joined in to protect und back her as a feral feline )

She attacked every anti-safespeed post und really some folks off und much lycra got set alight

She homed in on a thread "Cars are crappy ... throw rocks at them!" und made hugest protest about it. This led to a 15 page thread in the office part calling for her to be removed from the forum Und someone posted something libellous und NTC went for the jugulars....

which ist why the funky one has this as the signature ;0 to show he ist not in favour of the silly duckling who persists in this nonsense. Und cats eat ducks Und she went straight in the water after the duck as well...

Und then she wrote a poem about COAST! Und this really put the cat amongst the pigeons....every post complained about her "pome"

Und you think I am wild.... Am quite sane really...

You lose as he has totally ignored anything you said.

That's how it works isn't it Funkmeister 007?

But my sister who has posted under "Nice Tame Cat" ist much sharper. Some of the funnier posts may still be on C+ archives ...lot of cyclists ended up on Paul's site as result at Xmas ... but only three were real trolls und banned as result.... rest ... even FR ....supported Paul in the main.

But ... she really kicked lycra sporting ass when on that site

Don't let Funky see that.

He laid into other cyclists for talking about triggering Gatso's.

Just spent some time reading up her posts.

The one spread over new year was entertaining, can't see her needing any help.............

What about thinking of other, more vulnerable, road users. How about driving at a speed which is safe for them too when you meet them on the road?

I do, and I do, respectively.

Perhaps you would be kind enough to let me have your confirmation that this is a satisfactory arrangement, and that I may continue along the same lines.

Best wishes all,
Dave.

Thankyou, you are one of the few people on here who obviously takes into account vulnerable road users when in their vicinity.

Well thanks for that FR, but I would guess that most PHers are pretty considerate in their driving, at least I hope so. I very much doubt if there are many 'press on regardless' types here, otherwise I expect we would be hearing about a lot more shunts.

Best wishes all,
Dave.

Nein..just do not think he ist wind-up merchant - based on things he posted in past on C+ und he was classed as troll at first on Paul's site .. but then proved he was not really big trog und troller.

besides C+ muesli munchers put up mit my big sister for just over a month (think it was...)

Und in any case ....different take....should always give biggest opportunity to state the blindlingly obvious

Speaking of trolls ... wo ist Steviebabes?

Sulking behind Kevin und JJ's apron again.... No matter ist always fun when he und his destructive pal pop by....

These bungling idiots with their anti-speed apparatus are doing far more harm than good. There is no way they will ever make any useful progress in improving road safety while they continue in this fashion, and that is a desperately sad situation IMHO.

Best wishes all,
Dave.

Well why do you play into their hands then and speed???

Why not get someone with a bit of influence in a high position in government, or set up a strong campaign??

Why do people sit back and whinge, yet never do anything? Protesting with your right foot won't help.

I'm not playing into their hands by speeding. It has been my experience that the NSL can be totally disregarded without causing any harm whatsoever if you do it right. So far it has been 47 years free of points, but I expect that record will get spoiled at some point. Of course it will be a shame if it happens, but I know the rules.

As for trying to do something about it, I do keep making my views known in what I hope are the right quarters. I do not confine myself to moaning from the sidelines.

Best wishes all,
Dave.

Something of an assumption, no? I drive, in as far as I can, with care and consideration for all other road users, no matter how much of a PITA they might be, even, were we to meet, you, you sanctimonious prig.

Don't panic. You are obviously another one of the few.

Other PHers will have to make their own claims.

Best wishes all,
Dave.

Upon returning from a pleasant meal out I was somewhat dissapointed to catch up on this thread and to see personal abuse being flung about. Funkyrobot does indeed have different views to the majority on here but I still don't think it is called for, for him to be told to f off. I have actually enjoyed reading this thread and he has had the temerity to keep with it in face of hostility. For that he should be entitled to a smidgeon of respect?

Persevering is to be admired. Totally ignoring the opinions of anyone with a salient point is another thing.

I've never known anyone quite so totally convinced that they are right.

I apologise for going a little too far towards the end.

He did not come here to listen, I should have realised that was what I was supposed to do......
