Seems like Monday has been a day of utter madness, either that or my perceptions are all messed up.
Almost every 5 minutes theres been something either on tv or radio regarding the speed camera menace, coupled with the usual lentilist dickhead morons spouting their tripe thru their stupid uncordinated pie holes.
From the rac on one hand to richard and bloody judy on the other.
We need to to take the fight to them all. Declare WAR on them and make their lives BLOODY UNBEARABLE!
Im mad as hell with this bollox and its time to give these Fers a good kick in the teeth.
Its time to make a stand.

Not as impressive as this one currently being made

1 point for guessing whose new stand it is (no points awarded to Arsenal fans as they'll have an advantage) D'OH!

Why can't the BBC do something a bit controversial and perhaps challenge the use if cameras. A panorama special or somein like that, everyone believes panorama's findings.

I've been running around like a lunatic all day making a stand.

See the (incomplete) media log:

You want more? Find me the money to hire staff. It shouldn't be so damn hard. If one tenth of 1% of motorists sent me a tenner I'd have over a 1/4 million to play with.

I'm due on Talksport at 11:05 this evening and I started at 3am. Yes really.

tell you what paul, when Im a millionaire, I'll send you a couple so you can stuff these cameras up Brunstroms backside.

Until then, I'll send you a couple of tenners.

When you say staff, are you talking about full time office based or just net based part time volunteers?

Can't claim Paul's 3am start, but I've been putting paid work on the back burner too all day.

Interview with Central News in the morning - that went out on the lunchtime news and on the evening slot. Writing for the BBC website. Thirty minute phone in in the afternoon on BBC Oxford. Couple of calls with papers, and a lot of on-the-hoof desk research. Unlike Paul, at least I have my business to fall back on, but I spend rather more unpaid time on ABD things than I do on getting the mortgage paid...

It's insane that representatives of 36 million drivers should be scrabbling to fit things in around paid day jobs when Transport 2000 were looking at 6 figure budgets last year (I think that's right, but it's a while since I saw their figures). Oh what it must be to be PC, car-hating and love telling people what to do.

Can't the PH collective have some kind of 'charity fund' (!!) for fighting these lies? I for one would have no hesitation in sending a tenner in support of Safespeed and what they do!

Thanks for the donation.

I would definitely hire "office staff" and professional PR if funds permitted. I'd also create a London "base" - I could have done much more today if I'd been in London.

And I need a mobile exhibition to cart around to all the summer motoring events...

What I'd like to know is where the likes of Transport 2000 get their 6 figure budgets from.

Surely they aren't governemt funded.

Unfortunately they only real help I can offer is a donation which will buzz its way to you on thursday.

Ditto. It makes me furious when I read some of the tripe that the anti-motorists come out with. I find myself thinking, somebody has *got* to put a stop this. And Paul's doing it, on a shoestring, with minimal support. Thank goodness we have people like Paul willing to stand up to them.

For god's sake don't send cash to that address above...

It needs this:

Safe Speed
Trace House
Clay of Allan
Fearn near Tain
Ross-Shire
Scotland
IV20 1RR

Although I can't imagine any reason for worrying about an audit trail. We're entirely above board you know...
