Well, we had a great time!

Hope us BOG Club members were not too noisy - especially my 7 biggrin

Great fun at le Bounty - thanks Steve, John, paul, Babs, and one and all!

Fantastic D roads all the way down from Le Havre, and great viewing and bars while there.

Good to see we hade one other PistonHeads chap meet at the bar in Mulsanne on the Friday - smpaton, I think? Can't remember now, but that was a nice Maserati!

Saw LowDrag taking pictures from the inside of the Mulsanne corner - good spot!

Had a slight mishap on the Sunday evening on one of the small roundabouts between Mulsanne and Le Bounty - own up, who spilled oil/diesel there?

Just cracked two rims, so had to come home on a low-loader. Back on the road next week when the new rims arrive.

All in all, a great time!

Just planning the main Le Mans 24 Hours next year now.

As per previous comments - had a fantastic time at 'Le Bounty' and would highly recomend it to anyone who can't be bothered with the hassles of on-site camoping.

The shuttle bus was superb - picking a group of us up at 0100 hrs on Saturday night at expo, then dropping 2 of us back to mulsanne corner at 0400 (groups 5 & 6 = biggrin ) and then picking us both up at 0830 for return & breakfast clap.

Food was excellent - good well cooked 'basic' stuff - the roast was lovely and the full english every morning was a delight lick

Well done to Steve and all the crew, thanks for making a great weekend bow

Cheers Guys, tho' it may have seemed otherwise at times we all enjoyed having you stay with us.

I think we finally cracked the "gremlins" at this event and are getting very excited about next years Moto GP and Le Mans 24 Heures.

John7, don't worry guys everybody who came this year will get 1st option to rebook for the 2009 events and/or 2010 Classic.

Cheers Steve.

It is my sad task to announce to you all that Le Bounty no longer exists. If you visit the location you will see a big sign at the road side saying 'Nothing to see here, move along'. So don't try to book it, at all. It's a sensitive subject so best not to ask either. Don't even try the interweb thingy either. No, it's not there. Just a blank void in the space time continueum. Just stay away.

lol well I am pleased to say Bounty is still there with both lakes booked with Carp and Cat anglers. Steve and myself are already making plans for next years events, improving facilities as in more showers and toilets and as it went with the Classic a better bus service for the 24 hour.
We look forward to seeing many of you again.
All the best guys

John

Hmm, some mishap by all acounts it seems. Did the fact of severe excessive speed and racing two other 7's have anything to do with arriving at the roundabout rather fast? I went past there not long afterwards and there was certainly no diesel on the road! C'mon 'fess up!
