Posting Rules

The Gassing Station is an online community of likeminded individuals and in order to keep it running smoothly, legally and in good humour, we ask our users to adhere to the rules outlined below. Please bear in mind that our rules are designed to ensure the site is safe to read at work and is a pleasant place to be for all PHers.

Whilst we're certain that your intentions are entirely honourable, some people come onto PistonHeads just to cause trouble for other users. For this reason, we're giving you 14 days to read what other people post and learn about how we like our users to behave before we let you dive into the murky world of the Pie & Piston. You're more than welcome to join in with some of our other forums though, and we'll sometimes even give you access here sooner if we see you contributing quality on-topic posts elsewhere.

If you do choose to break our rules, please be prepared for a really nasty telling off from someone with a loud voice, a spell in our newly refurbished sin-bin or if you really don't want to play ball then a ban from the site.

All matters relating to conduct in the forums and compliance with these Posting Rules will be determined by the Moderators under guidance from PistonHeads staff.

When using this website you agree not to:

Post insulting, threatening or defamatory material.
Post any material likely to cause undue annoyance, provocation, upset or embarrassment to any reasonable person.
Name companies or individuals in relation to accusations of malpractice, fraud or other criminal or civil offences.
Use the forums to harass anyone, including but not limited to posting personal or private information and images.
Post material which infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights.
Post material or links to material that may be considered pornographic, violent, racist, sexist or voyeuristic or is otherwise offensive or unlawful.
Post links to websites or adverts for your own commercial gain. Please use our classifieds section for cars, parts etc. or contact the sales team for banner advertising.
